French Photographer Eugène Atget

French photographer Eugène Atget was taking pictures at the turn of the 20th century, documenting Paris just before its landscape underwent vast swathes of modernisation. Atget captured a Paris that was on the cusp of disappearing; its old houses, churches, streets, courtyards, doors, stairs and mantelpieces.

With David Bowie, it’s never just been about the music. This innovative man changed the face of rock with his clothes, his style, his creativity and his vision. The V&A have curated a retrospective exhibition of over 300 Bowie objects that include original costumes, handwritten lyrics, fashion, photography, film, music videos, set designs and Bowie's own instruments.

As Coco Chanel famously said “fashion passes, style remains" and so it has proven; Saatchi Gallery’s current Little Black Jacket exhibition showcases the un-wavering style of Coco’s early 50’s iconic design. Having started in Tokyo, the exhibition of photographs has been on tour round the world’s cities and it’s finally reached London. The collection is here until Sunday 4th November.

The Rosebery set off for its first drive two weeks ago, winding along the Oxford lanes to Blenheim Palace for her launch. The Rosebery is a traditional 1966 London routemaster that’s been restored to create a height-of-luxury portable 1930’s style bar and restaurant – a true movable feast for parties and events. Under the capable hands of a team of motor craftsmen she’s now a beautiful mix of green leather shagreen, oak and dark green bus paint.

Nestled away in the Danish countryside, the factory is surrounded by beautiful gardens offering the designers working inside spectacular views- not your usual ‘factory’.
