MBDS has a vacancy for an ambitious and talented Midweight Designer with 3-6 years’ experience to work on high end Interior Design projects in the Restaurant and Hospitality sectors.
An extremely high-level of AutoCAD is a must and a proficiency in Photoshop and SketchUp is essential. Current UK building regulation knowledge as well as a comprehensive understanding of construction technology and a high level of FF&E, joinery and detailing is imperative. The individual should be a strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to coordinate, control and make decisions. A general all-rounder with both ID & FF&E skills.
The candidate should also:
• Be meticulous, highly organised and efficient.
• Be a team player able to support and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Be capable of clear communication; fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Be proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign as well as having knowledge of Sketch Up.
• Demonstrate confidence in sketching and presenting new ideas.
• Show experience of delivering neat, clear and accurate design information and schedules.
• Be able to confidently represent the Company externally and contribute to MBDS’s professional reputation and high level of attention to detail.

MBDS has a vacancy for an ambitious and talented Junior Designer to join our London studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career designer (0–3 years’ experience) to develop within a highly creative and collaborative team, working on luxury hospitality and residential interiors around the world.
The Junior Designer will support Mid-weight Designers across multiple live projects, contributing to both creative concept development and detailed design documentation. The role sits within the Design Studio Team (DST), alongside Designers, Associates, 3D Visualisers and the Studio Librarian.
You’ll gain experience across all stages of the design process—from mood board creation to CAD drawing packs, sourcing, scheduling, and occasional site visits—with responsibility for your own workload and an expectation to contribute actively to project progress.
Key skills and requirements:
A design degree and 0–3 years’ experience in interior design or a related field.
A strong eye for colour, materials, and spatial design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign; working knowledge of SketchUp; familiarity with 3D Studio Max and Microsoft Office is a bonus.
Confident with freehand sketching and visualising ideas clearly.
Comfortable assisting with CAD drawings, mood boards, sample ordering and presentation materials.
A proactive, organised mindset with strong attention to detail and initiative.
A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn and contribute to the studio's creative culture and day-to-day operations.
You’ll be fully immersed in the workings of a leading interior design studio and supported in developing your creative, technical, and project coordination skills.
