PORTOFINO

Villa Beatrice

A storied 19th-century villa, Villa Beatrice at Belmond's Splendido has been reborn with quiet grandeur above the shimmering Ligurian coast.

Built in the 19th century, Villa Beatrice was originally conceived as a summer residence for hosting grand gatherings of family and friends.

Found in one of the most coveted locations on the Gulf of Portofino, the villa perches on a promontory just above Punta Caiega to offer breathtaking views over the Ligurian Riviera.

In a captivating blend of Gothic Revival charm and Art Nouveau materiality and techniques, Villa Beatrice is a true architectural gem that Belmond and MBDS have solicitously brought back to life.

Villa Beatrice is a place where modern sophistication meets the spirit of a cherished family home — lovingly preserved and enriched through generations on the Ligurian coast.

MARTIN BRUDNIZKI

Martin’s approach echoes Ligurian living at its most honest. Take, for example, the Italian fabrics from regional mills used in the linens and embroidery of curtains.

The full façade, once adorned with vibrant murals, has been carefully restored from the top down to unveil intricate designs and deep terracotta tones, while the villa’s grand arches, windows, and frescoed walls and ceilings have all been uplifted using artisanal preservation techniques.
